1. LEGO’s new Venetian Neighborhood brings historic architecture and 17 minifigures

LEGO has revealed Venetian Neighborhood (11388), a 5,682-piece waterfront scene featuring a villa, glassblowing workshop, astronomical clock tower, arched bridge and gondola.

For Castle builders, the ornate buildings and two elaborately costumed carnival-goers make this an interesting source of architectural and character inspiration. It’s a substantial display model, with an equally substantial $549.99 U.S. price.

LEGO Insiders get early access November 1, followed by general availability November 4. Buyers of this specific set November 1–8 can receive Venetian Water Taxi (40898) as a gift, while supplies last.

2. Check Barnes & Noble’s holiday LEGO build listings before spaces fill

Barnes & Noble stores are listing upcoming LEGO Holiday Build events, with participating locations holding activities November 13–15, according to Brick Fanatics.

The free seasonal build offers a useful reason to check ahead. Dates, start times and reservation arrangements vary by store, and kits are limited. Some locations ask attendees to contact the store to reserve a spot.

Use the Barnes & Noble event finder to look for your local listing and confirm its details. You can also read the holiday-build report from Brick Fanatics.

3. A retiring miniature castle is 30% off at LEGO.com

During this morning’s U.S. check, Mini Disney Ariel’s Castle (40708) was available at $27.99, down from $39.99, and marked Retiring soon.

The 557-piece miniature offers a smaller fantasy display for collectors who enjoy elaborate castle architecture. This is a Disney model, so consider its scale and style when deciding whether it belongs alongside your Castle collection.

The markdown has been in place since October 13. Price and availability can change, and LEGO’s retirement label does not guarantee a specific final purchase date.
