1. Scary Haunted Tree GWP revealed
LEGO has revealed 40900 Scary Haunted Tree, a 218-piece Halloween build with movable branches, autumn foliage, a pumpkin, a crow, and a light-brick-powered glowing mouth.
For Castle collectors, it could work naturally in cursed forests, graveyards, witch scenes, and dark-fantasy displays.
Current reports point to September 21. A $100 US purchase threshold has been rumored, but LEGO has not officially confirmed it.
2. Five retirement-watch sets worth inspecting
Five Castle-adjacent sets currently deserve attention: 31175 Unicorn Castle at $44.99, 71846 The Fire Knight Mech at $119.99, 71847 The Guardian Dragon at $149.99, 71829 Lloyd’s Green Forest Dragon at $19.99, and 21060 Himeji Castle at $159.99.
Their value to Castle builders comes from fantasy creatures, armor, weapons, architectural techniques, forest elements, and display potential.
Retirement trackers do not agree on every date. Himeji Castle in particular appears on both late-2026 and 2027 projections, so monitor it rather than treating it as an emergency purchase.
3. Insiders private-shopping reservations are open
LEGO Insiders can now reserve limited appointments for the holiday private-shopping event. The event is scheduled for November 15 in the United States and November 14 in the United Kingdom and Europe.
For Castle collectors planning a large holiday purchase, the event offers early store access and additional time to inspect inventory.
Availability depends on participating stores. Don’t delay purchasing a must-have retiring set until November solely for this event.
