1. Holiday House is a sleeper parts pack for Castle builders
LEGO’s new 1,354-piece Holiday House (11387) is not a Castle set, but it includes a horse-drawn sleigh, four civilian minifigures, cross-latticed windows, a wraparound porch, antique furnishings and a light brick.
For Castle builders, the $119.99 set could become a snowy manor, merchant’s house or winter village—or supply useful civilian and architectural details.

2. BrickLink Series 9 has rules worth knowing before preorder day
BrickLink Designer Program Series 9 preorders open October 6 at 8 a.m. Pacific, including the Castle-adjacent Sleepy Dragon Inn.
Popular sets can sell through their production allocation, so collectors should decide their priorities before the window opens instead of treating October 12 as a safe deadline.
Crowdfunding ends October 12 at 3 p.m. Pacific, or sooner if sets sell out. The limit is two of each set per household, and each set needs at least 3,000 preorders to enter production.
3. Amazon’s October sale shares the same calendar
Amazon Prime Big Deal Days runs October 6–7, placing another major shopping event on the same calendar as BrickLink Series 9.
No Castle-specific LEGO discount has been confirmed. Save the sets you actually want and record their normal prices before the sale begins.
Prime membership is required for event-exclusive offers, and an advertised sale badge does not automatically mean a historically good price.
