1. Walmart, Amazon and Target sales start next week, but LEGO deals aren't confirmed yet
Walmart's October deals event runs Oct. 5–11, starting at 12 a.m. ET. Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days follows on Oct. 6–7 for Prime members. Target Circle Deal Days, which we flagged Saturday, runs the same two days, with early access to select deals on Oct. 5 for paid Circle 360 members.
None of the three has confirmed specific LEGO discounts. Walmart is advertising up to 30% off toys and Target up to 40% off toys, but neither has named LEGO among the featured brands. "Up to 40% off toys" doesn't mean 40% off LEGO. Amazon has listed LEGO as a featured brand but hasn't said which sets will be discounted. We'll check actual set prices once the deals go live.
2. The Castle price to beat: $90.99 for 31168 Medieval Horse Knight Castle
The Medieval Horse Knight Castle lists for $129.99 at LEGO.com, but full price isn't the right benchmark for judging October sales. Last holiday season, we bought two from Macy's.com for $90.99 each, 30% off the list price.
A $105 or $110 sale price may look good next to $129.99, but we know this set has sold for less. That doesn't mean $90.99 will return next week. It gives us a real price to compare against when the October sales begin.

Rumor: Double LEGO Insiders points may return Oct. 13–19. LEGO hasn't announced it, but Brick Fanatics reports a rumored site-wide event for those dates, matching last October's timing. Double points work out to about 10% back in points on LEGO.com purchases. If it's confirmed, we'll let you know.
