1. Black Knights parts are headed to Pick a Brick, but the shield won't be in the Oct. 1 drop
On Sunday, we said to watch Oct. 1 for the Black Knights torso and shield. New information from LEGO's Pick a Brick team at Skærbæk Fan Weekend gives us a clearer timeline: the shield is now reported for November or December. The Griffin Knights torso with dark blue arms is also headed to Pick a Brick, but no month has been confirmed yet. We'll flag both when we can verify them live in the U.S.
Thursday's Oct. 1 Pick a Brick update is still a big one. More than 800 elements from June sets are expected to join the service, including the sword hip holster in maroon and black and four pirate torsos from 31387 that could work well for Castle and fantasy figures. Prices aren't posted yet, and the published list may change before launch. The Black Knights shield is especially worth watching because until now it has only appeared in 40912 Sea Serpent, with another appearance coming through BrickLink Designer Program Series 9.
2. The Castle sleeper in October's Build-a-Minifigure lands Thursday
The 17th-century sword fighter we flagged on Sept. 12 is expected to arrive at participating LEGO Stores starting Thursday, Oct. 1. Its doublet torso is the standout for Castle builders, with uses ranging from nobles and courtiers to duelists and other later-period characters.
Build-a-Minifigure figures are sold as three-figure bundles, and parts can be mixed across the available assortment. Store selection and rollout timing can vary, so check with your local LEGO Store before making a special trip.
One distinction worth remembering Thursday: Pick a Brick is online; Build-a-Minifigure is an in-store program.
