1. Grond is back with Minas Tirith
Grond is back. Starting today, LEGO is including 40893 Grond as a free gift with online U.S. purchases of 11377 The Lord of the Rings: Minas Tirith, while supplies last. The offer runs through September 30.
The 307-piece model recreates the battering ram from The Lord of the Rings and includes two Orc minifigures with weapon accessories. LEGO lists it at an approximate retail value of $29.99.
2. Retirement Watch: check your Castle parts before October
LEGO’s current Pick a Brick retirement list includes 1,806 elements that will not be restocked once they next sell out. For Castle builders, that makes now a good time to recheck useful animals, shields, helmets, weapons, armor, and other parts you were already considering.
We first flagged this retirement wave for Castle Brief subscribers on September 15. For U.S. and Canadian buyers, affected Standard elements on the list are scheduled to disappear from Pick a Brick on October 1, even if inventory remains. Bestseller elements stay available only while supplies last.

Grond is not a general spending-threshold GWP. The qualifying purchase must include Minas Tirith (11377), and the offer is available online at LEGO.com through September 30 while supplies last. It is limited to one per household, cannot be applied to previous purchases, and the gift must be returned if the qualifying purchase is returned for a refund. Pick a Brick Standard orders do not qualify for this promotion.
