1. LEGO raises prices on 6,333 Pick a Brick combinations
LEGO adjusted Pick a Brick prices worldwide on September 14. StoneWars' analysis of 17,389 part-and-color combinations found that 6,333 increased in price, with an average increase of 16.7 percent among those combinations. Roughly 63 percent were unchanged.
By design instead of color, approximately 900 distinct shapes were affected. Categories important to Castle builders include plates, bricks, animals and minifigure accessories. 2. Sleepy Dragon Inn gets a new stop-motion reveal
BrickLink has released new stop-motion footage of all five Designer Program Series 9 finalists, including the Castle-adjacent Sleepy Dragon Inn.
Created by Brickin' Awesome Movies, the footage shows the completed physical model in motion ahead of crowdfunding. Sleepy Dragon Inn contains 3,121 pieces and nine minifigures, including Griffin and Horse knights and a Kraken Warriors figure. It is priced at $269.99 in the United States, with crowdfunding opening October 6 at 8 a.m. Pacific / 11 a.m. Eastern.

Pick a Brick pricing can vary by region and color, even when two elements share the same design. StoneWars does not say which market its counts reflect, and some elements rose in Europe but not in the U.S. Roughly half the increases were one or two cents (euro basis), which matters mainly on large orders. Check each part-and-color combination before placing a large order, especially when buying Castle elements in quantity.
StoneWars also identified approximately 150 combinations that became cheaper during the preceding 30 days. Those reductions should not be treated as part of the September 14 adjustment.
