1. Kraken Knights fortress hits LEGO Ideas review
Tentacle Rock reached 10,000 supporters on September 24, sending the 2,343-piece fan project into the third 2026 LEGO Ideas review. The design is a rocky sea stronghold for the Kraken Knights, with a harbor master's office, a pub, a castle with a dungeon, two ships, a shark and eight minifigures.
Reaching 10,000 supporters does not mean LEGO has approved the project for production. It means Tentacle Rock has qualified for LEGO's review process, where it will be considered alongside the other projects in the current review round. Results from this review aren't expected until sometime next year.
2. October's LEGO sale season is coming. Here's our first Castle watch.
Three major retailers are lining up October sales almost on top of each other. Walmart's Fall Deals begin October 5 at midnight ET. Amazon Prime Big Deal Days runs October 6–7 exclusively for Prime members. Target Circle Deal Days also runs October 6–7, with early access beginning October 5 for Target Circle 360 members. Target is advertising discounts of up to 40% across toys and other categories, although LEGO discounts have not yet been specifically confirmed.
That overlap is worth watching. Target offered 30% off select LEGO during its October events in both 2024 and 2025, while Amazon matched many competing LEGO prices last year. LEGO.com also followed the early-October retailer sales with sitewide Double Insiders Points events in mid-October both years. Whether that pattern repeats in 2026 remains to be seen.
Our first Castle watch is 31168 Medieval Horse Knight Castle, currently $129.99 at Target. A move to $99.99 would put it roughly 23% below retail and trigger our attention. $99.99 is our alert price, not a guaranteed floor.
