1. Monty Python’s French castle encounter reaches LEGO Ideas review

King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table have cleared an important hurdle. Monty Python and the Holy Grail – French Encounter, by fan designer Krackenator4, reached 10,000 supporters on October 18, Brick Fanatics reports.

The roughly 600-piece build recreates the film’s taunting scene. It has a section of the French castle with a large gate and a small catapult, the wheeled Trojan Rabbit with a door that opens, and six minifigures: King Arthur, Sir Lancelot, Sir Galahad, Sir Bedevere, the French Taunter and Arthur’s servant. For Castle collectors, it pairs medieval castle scenery with one of the most quoted castle scenes in film.

Reaching 10,000 supporters qualifies the project for LEGO Ideas review. It doesn’t mean LEGO has approved a set, and there’s no confirmed retail price or release date. The LEGO Ideas team will consider it after this review period closes in January 2027. See the full model on its LEGO Ideas project page.

2. LEGO is testing a Pick a Brick castle expansion

A bigger fortress without buying another complete castle? LEGO’s Pick a Brick team has shown a “Castle Expansion Pack” concept as part of an A/B test, according to StoneWars’ new report from last month’s Skærbæk Fan Weekend.

The presentation showed the expansion alongside the Creator 3-in-1 castle product page. For Castle builders, the appeal is straightforward: a curated selection of extra parts could make expanding an existing build easier.

It remains a test. We haven’t verified a public launch date, price, contents or U.S. availability. The team is also working on shareable parts-list links and testing multiple Pick a Brick baskets for separate projects.
